ImprovEd Shakespeare’s
TWELFTH NIGHT and TAMING OF THE SHREW
Spring, 2012

Our second production was my (Andee Kinzy, writer & director) first foray into what would become our signature ImprovEd Shakespeare scripts. Focusing on the story, with the goal of each child getting to play a “meaty” role, I truncated the scripts to individual scenes with few characters and interspersed with narration. In order to highlight each player, I wrote two 20-minute scripts to accommodate all the performers and multiple actors played the same character (which was explained in the scripts). We were invited to perform at the much-loved Sherwood Forest Faire in McDade, TX, which was the start of a beautiful friendship.
