DEVISED SHAKESPEARE
In light of the COVID pandemic, we have created a virtual Shakespeare class for teens. Following upon the heels of our spring 2020 Zoom play, our newest offering blends interactive online sessions with accompanying at-home projects.

Time: Tuesdays/Thursdays, 3:30-5pm CDT (GMT-5)
Dates: September 15th – December 17th (no classes November 24th & 26th)
Cost: $75/month or $215/semester
DESCRIPTION
Devised Shakespeare is an online production created through team collaboration. Using a specific Shakespeare play as inspiration, and the Internet as backdrop, players will work together to develop and perform a new story. Exploring multiple production formats, from Zoom to podcasts to memes or Instagram stories, it will be such stuff as dreams are made on! Student-led, this virtual Shakespeare class for teens also requires the players to be responsible for all production details. Participants will learn about producing, marketing and production design. Requires outside work on development, marketing, etc. Performance dates will be determined after the start of class.

SHAKESPEARE FOR TEACHERS AND DIRECTORS
If you’re an English teacher, a theatre director, or a well-trained Shakespeare advocate, here you will find inspiration, as well as techniques, for making our favorite bard fun for Kids. Accordingly, we present old, new and improved ideas for introducing Shakespeare to youth for the non-Shakespeare-academic. Among them, we include theatre games, improvisation, tips, tricks, plus activities for using Shakespeare in education.
SHAKESPEARE FOR KIDS
In honor of the traditional Renaissance traveling troupe, during a period of a few weeks each semester, ImprovEd Shakespeare presents family-friendly plays at various venues around town. Suitable for all ages, each performance runs for about an hour.
